Private Capital’s role in the economy and portfolios

We are pleased to announce that the Guild of Investment Managers’ next event will feature one of the leading voices in the British private markets industry: Michael Moore, Chief Executive of UK Private Capital.

 

Michael will be in conversation with Harry Wu of Fidelity’s Multi-Asset Research team for an evening of candid discussion on one of the most pressing questions facing the UK investment industry: why is so much of the capital flowing into British innovation, infrastructure, and growth coming from abroad, and what will it take to change that?

 

The conversation will explore the evolving relationship between pension funds and private markets, the impact of government-led initiatives such as the Mansion House Compact and the British Business Bank, and how regulatory and policy frameworks are shaping or hindering capital allocation decisions at scale.
