Guild Civic Dinner and Burns Supper 2026

We look forward to welcoming you to the Guild of Investment Managers 2026 Civic Dinner!

This event is a highlight in our annual dining calendar, promising an exceptional night of celebration and camaraderie. This year, in a change of tradition, we are hosting a Burns Supper to honour Scotland’s National Bard, Robert Burns.

If you’re unfamiliar with a Burns Supper, you are in for a wonderful new experience! To learn more about this beloved celebration, please visit: https://www.visitscotland.com/things-to-do/events/burns-night

The Evening’s Events

As we welcome the Lady Mayor (or her representative) and the Civic Party to our celebrations, guests will first enjoy a luxurious champagne reception. This will be followed by an exquisite four-course dinner, perfectly complemented by paired wines, port, and petit fours.

Embracing the Burns Supper custom, the main course will include Haggis, neeps (turnips) and tatties (potatoes). We are delighted to have a bagpiper who will pipe in the haggis as is tradition, followed by the famous Address to the Haggis. For those who prefer a different option, please be assured that a non-haggis menu will be available for all guests.

The evening will also feature addresses from the Master and our esteemed Civic guests, along with the continuation of cherished Livery Company dining traditions. The menu for the evening will be:

Starter: Scottish Gin-Cured Trout with textures of mint cucumber, tonic jelly, puffed barley

Mid-Course: Traditional Haggis, neeps, tatties, whisky cream sauce, or Green Lentil and Barley Veggie Haggis

Main Course: Highland Venison Pie, roast beets, bramble berry jus

Desserts: Cranachan Soufflé with whisky cream, raspberry and oat shortbread biscuit

Each course will be perfectly complemented by paired wines, and port, and the evening will conclude with coffee and petit fours.
