DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce that we received an allocation of 
 highly sought-after tickets for an afternoon slot (3.51pm) at the charity s
 heep drive and are now delighted to open bookings.\nTickets are £75 per pe
 rson* and NON REFUNDABLE\, with proceeds going towards the Worshipful Compa
 ny of Woolmen's charity\, and the Lord Mayor's Appeal.\nRemember\, this eve
 nt is open to Guild Members who are Freemen of the City ONLY\, and each Fre
 eman may bring one guest to participate. Family and friends are most welcom
 e to come along and witness you enacting this famous Freeman’s right!\nWh
 en booking your place(s)\, you will be required to state how many people wi
 ll be in your party. You will be forwarded details of where to meet beforeh
 and.\nIf you are not yet a Freeman of the City but are interested in joinin
 g the Guild or becoming a Freeman\, please get in touch with us to discuss 
 the process.\nBackground\nDid you know that once a year\, Freemen and Liver
 ymen drive herds of sheep across Southwark Bridge into the City? It is a un
 ique event that celebrates the rich heritage of our city\, and we want you 
 to join us to take part in 2026!Dating back to medieval times\, shepherds w
 ould bring their sheep into the City of London to sell them at market. Free
 men of the City were excused from the bridge toll that applied to other peo
 ple crossing the bridge in recognition of their status as local traders. In
  2013 the Worshipful Company of Woolmen resurrected this ancient right for 
 charitable purposes\, and the event was so successful that it has continued
  ever since. This year\, the Master invites you to join him in taking part 
 in this fabulous tradition on Sunday 27th September 2026.\n*Please note tha
 t by purchasing a ticket\, you consent to being photographed during the eve
 nt. These images may be used by the Guild for marketing and promotional pur
 poses.
